In all its cheesy teenage glory.
Synth-pop trio CHVRCHES was recently featured on The Mortified Podcast, a show dealing with embarrassing stories, poems, songs, and other objects that act as proof of the awkward childhood days of every person’s past.
The band performed a love song written by a man named Nat Miller when he was only 14 years old. Titled “Laurel” after the girl herself, Miller wrote the cheesy and adorable song about a crush, but was unfortunately too afraid to ever show her.
“She’s never heard the song, so maybe she’s listening to this podcast and now she knows.”
Listen to the hilarious and adorable performance below. Begin at the 24-minute mark to hear a brief explanation of the track before the performance.
